Aufgabe

Am 13. Oktober verkündeten The Hellacopters auf ihrer Homepage das Ende der Band. Nach erfolgreichen 13 Jahren Bandgeschichte folgt Anfang 2008 noch der finale, der siebte noch unbetitelte Studiolongplayer, gefolgt von einer Abschiedstour, wo sie auch noch einmal mindestens bei Rock am Ring und Rock im Park zu sehen sind. Dann heißt es ein letztes Mal: Respect the Rock!

Playing in a rock and roll band isn't always a walk in the park, but thanks to all of you who rocked out with us at sweaty clubs, rainy festivals or at home by the stereo throughout the years, it's been a fantastic trip. We'll never forget your support.
We recently finished mixing our seventh and last studio album and it'll be released early next year according to initial plans. We feel like we wanna say one last Goodbye to you and throw in the towel with a bang, so we're aiming to do a farewell tour through Europe and Scandinavia sometime in the spring. So you're not getting rid of us just yet.

Das Mehr an Freizeit wird Nicke Andersson wohl in seine beiden Seitenprojekte (die Soulrockband The Solution und die Death-Metal-Kapelle Death Breath) investieren. Gitarrist Robert Dahlqvist kann sich nun verstärkt um seine Rockband Thunder Express kümmern.
Skadinaviens heissester Export bläst also zum letzten Mal einen Angriff auf unsere Lauschlappen. Geniessen wir sie nochmals. Die Garagenrocker hinterlassen einen Haufen guter Songs. Beispiele der letzten Scheibe "Rock & Roll is dead".
