Google konkurrenziert iTunes und Amazon

Konkurrenz belebt das Geschäft sage ich mal und die Idee von einem Cloud gefällt mir auch.

Google is reportedly close to launching a music download service later this year, with a unique interface that will allow users to share music via a cloud music library. Originally reported in June by the Wall Street Journal, the sear engine giant was planning on launching a subscription based option for the service in early 2011.
The rumored cloud based system will give users a "music locker" that will allow users to access their music collection from any computer or device, as well as allow users to send tracks to each other. The shared tracks could be played once before the user would be prompted to purchase the track.
The proposed system would have to be approved by major record labels before it could be implemented, usually the make or break point for most music services.
A lunch date for the new service has not yet been announced.
