Wer sie sehen und hören will pilgert am 13. November ins Kofmehl Solothurn. Da startet nämlich die Tragic Illusion Tour von Paradise Lost durch die Dächer. Lacuna Coil ist auch mit von der Partie. Ein oberkuhles Package also.
Der Song stammt übrigens aus der 12er Scheibe *Dead End Kings*.
Braucht die Headbangerszene solche Nominierungen im Rockbusiness überhaupt? Ich denke, Miss-Wahlen sind zwar Glam, aber nicht Glam Rock und deshalb nur Boulevard-Presse würdig.
Aber toll sieht sie schon aus die Lzzy. Und sie erinnert mich an jemanden. ;-)
Blabbermouth is reporting that Halestormsinger Lzzy Hale has been named "The Hottest Chick in Hard Rock." Hale topped Revolver magazine’s annual poll, beating Evanescence’s Amy Lee and Pretty Reckless front woman Taylor Momsen to the top spot.
Hale offered the following comments on the survey:
"My view of it really is to make sure that you're good at what you do, and so that when people actually want to look beyond the centerfold [laughs, that you're actually good and you have something to back it up," she says. "I think that most of us are really trying to push the envelope and, you know, make sure that we're musicians first and that the sex is just kind of the icing on the cake."

Speaking to RockSource 360 back in July, Hale revealed some of the challenges involved in being a woman in rock:
"I think a lot of people don't realize the guts it takes to be a woman in rock... We have to carve out our own path, and make our own rules, because there are none. We have to go against everything society has told us we should be, embrace our power.... AND still hold on to our femininity somehow! By far my favorite role model is Pat Benatar."
Halestorm are currently on tour with Evanescene in support of their new album "The Strange Case Of...", which came out in April.
Von normal über rabiat bis knüppelhart, das Earshakerday Festival am 23. Juni in der St.Jaobshalle Basel bietet trotzdem nicht nur Heavy Metal Fans ein samstägliches Hörvergnügen.
Meine Running Order ist dann schon eher von der gemächlichen Art im Vergleich zu den really heavy Hardcore Bands. The Treatment, Sebastian Bach, Black Label Society, Lacuna Coil, Paradise Lost, Ugly Kid Joe und Black Stone Cherry tauchen auf meinem Matchblatt auf. Mein Trommelfell wird mir dankbar sein.
Children of Bodom sind eigentlich auch noch easy oder? ;-)
In Sachen Releases kommt eine geballte Ladung Rock 'n' Roll auf uns zu. Die lang erwartete und zum Glück wieder rockigere Lacuna Coil CD (Albumstream) erblickt die Morgensonne, genauso wie die Kult-Rocker Lillian Axe um Steve Blaze. Nach Originalsänger Rick Bohrer und dem im 2010 zurückgetretenem Sänger Ronny Munroe ist nun Brian C. Jones an der Reihe. Gestandene wie Newcomer, Unbekanntes wie Bekanntes, von Rock bis Heavy Metal; diesmal ist für jeden etwas dabei. Hard Rocker Royal Bliss, Modern Rocker Blessed by a Broken Heart, Schwedens Metaller RAM oder Dänemarks Iron Fire, Independent Rocker You Me At Six, Kiske und Hansens Mini CD von Unisonic etc etc. Viel Spass bei der Entdeckungstour. Alles sei wärmstens empfohlen.
Am Rock@swil wird das Team vom Rock City Uster an der Bar bedienen.
Vielleicht komme ich endlich mal in den Genuss Deep Trip zu sehen. Das Packet Mastodon mit Red Fang wäre auch ne Sünde wert, ebenso wie die Schweizer Me and the Rest im Route 66.

Eine neue weibliche Stimme am Firmament des Rockhimmels? Na na na, ich weiss ja nicht. Für ein Debutalbum ist es ja schon mal nicht schlecht, aber zusehr ähnelt es den Vorbildern wie Lacuna Coil, Die Happy. Wo ist denn bitte schön die Eigenständigkeit geblieben. Die Songs sind einfach zu mainstream, was jetzt nichts Negatives sein muss, aber es fehlt halt das gewisse Etwas. Die vielen Synthies sind auch nicht so mein Ding. Aber hey, die Band ist auf dem richtigen Weg.
